I am writing to recommend George Colton-Hawkins for the National Youth Film Academy.

I have known George for two years as his Creative Media tutor where he completed his Level 3 BTEC in Creative Media Production. George is a student who I regard extremely highly and is someone who has a fantastic work ethic. George’s filmmaking ability alongside his creativity and knack for developing new ideas is what makes him unique. He truly is one of the most talented students I have come across working in education.

George has proven over time that he can work really well in a team of people and collaborate on projects and I think he thrives in this type of creative environment. He is also very independent and in his spare time writes screenplays, books and constantly wants to learn and to better himself and become a more well-rounded filmmaker and creative. George also has a lovely personality and wants to help and nurture others, sharing his own skillset rather than being competitive. It was a pleasure to teach George and his enthusiasm and absolute passion for film really rubbed off on myself and his peers.

Based on my experience with George I highly recommend him to the National Youth Film Academy. I have absolute faith that George would do fantastically well and being involved in the academy would only improve his skills further and I know how much of an asset he could be.
